Free alternative to Google Play Store

Aurora Store is a free utility mobile app that functions as an alternative to Google Play Store. Developed by Rahul Kumar Patel, this open-source app allows you to download APKs without needing a Google Play account. It also lets you control your apps with more in-depth settings than what your default apps usually offer.

Similar to Amazon Appstore, AppChina, and Jio App Store, Aurora Store offers dozens of apps under different categories. However, take note that some apps will still ask for Google Play Services. It might not let you log in, as well.

Is Aurora Store better than Play Store?

It is easy to download and install apps on mobile devices. There are reputable and trusted app stores available for you, no matter what mobile operating system you are using. Most of these app stores are even built-in in your phone. Apple devices have the Apple App Store, while Android devices have Google Play Store. Even phone brands like Samsung have Galaxy Apps. Each of these app markets rigorously screens mobile applications to make sure that the ones you’re downloading are safe from malicious viruses.

Plus, they try to make sure that the apps do not take advantage of your data. However, if you don't want to keep logging into these stores just to download apps, there are alternatives that you can try. You can try downloading APKs online—or you can use Aurora Store instead. With it, it’s easy to bypass all those logins and just go straight for the apps. Sharing some code from Yalp Store, it offers numerous features that Google Play Store doesn’t have at all.

For one, there’s no need for a Google account at all—unless you want to download paid apps. Google Play Store will always enforce this as its services contain ads at times—and sadly, it often has spyware that collects your data. This alternative app is a mirror of the Play Store but it doesn’t require any of your information. Plus, it supports spoofing and rooting of your device. Another helpful feature is the ability to control your installation method and even download older versions of apps.

How do I download paid apps from Aurora Store?

Aurora Store is easy to use since its functions are similar to other app stores and it offers a simple yet intuitive user interface. The app works as a download manager, allowing you to manage your apps. You can use the app to either manually update your apps or block any app from updating. It can even automatically delete an APK after installation. For installations, there are three ways available: Manual, Root or System via permissions, and the Aurora Services app.

For paid apps, though, you need to log in to your Google account. This app lets you use dummy accounts by default, but it can’t access paid apps the same way. You need to actually buy those apps via Play Store and then log into Aurora Store with your Play Store account to download them. Aside from this feature, this app store can also install split or bundled APKs—with or without root. Just remember that some apps may request your Google account for Google services.

No login required

All in all, Aurora Store is a highly useful alternative app store. It’s similar to the Play Store but offers additional features such as spoofing, rooting, and the option to use dummy accounts. While you may have to use your Google account to access some services for certain apps, it’s not too bad of an issue to deal with as long as you log out once you can.
